Three levels of Membership exists within the IVFSA.
1.
Student
Member: Any student
meeting the full-time student status at any accredited, degree-awarding
college or university.
Student members do not hold board or officer positions, and do not
vote in association elections. DUES: $25.00 USD
Annually
2.
Associate
Member: Any individual
possessing a four-year (or higher) degree from an accredited college or
university, or an employee of an agency or organization involved in
research, education, or investigation of animal crime, neglect, and
cruelty. Any individual
serving as a consultant to a private or public agency or organization
involved in the investigation of animal crime, neglect, and cruelty.
Associate members have voting privileges. DUES: $50.00 USD
Annually
3.
Full
Member: Any individual
possessing a DVM, Ph.D., M.D., J.D., or any individual with a Master’s
degree (MS) AND three years directly applicable experience in the
investigation of cases of animal crime, neglect, and cruelty.
To be considered for appointment for full membership, the
individual must submit an application for full membership to the
Officers of the IVFSA and submit two letters of recommendation from individuals
currently serving as Full Members, Officers, or Directors at the time
of the request. Full members
have voting privileges. DUES: $125.00 Annually
Dues are paid annually on
January 1st, those not paid prior to March 31st are past due.
